Parents frequently have questions regarding the scheduling, duration, and frequency of orthodontic appointments. For this reason, you might like to keep the following general information for future reference.
Although no two cases are alike, appointments at the start of treatment are often lengthy and will be scheduled in the mid-morning or early afternoon.
During treatment, some appointments will be scheduled during school hours and others after school. Understandably, many parents prefer that their children do not miss school for their orthodontic visits. However, let us explain the situation that every orthodontic office faces.
Since most of our patients attend school or have work schedules, our office hours would have to be from 3:00 - 11:00 P.M. in order to accommodate everyone who does not wish to be excused from school or work. As you can see, such a schedule would be completely impractical.
To serve our patients best, we reserve before school and after school time for quick appointments such as progress check-ups and appliance checks, since this allows us to accommodate many more patients during this prime time.
Longer appointments and emergency appointments are scheduled during school hours.
All visits are scheduled by appointments, and no patients are seen on a "walk-in" basis.
Since everyone's time is valuable, we feel that it would not be fair to make exceptions so that we may serve all of our patients in the most timely and efficient manner.
Your understanding in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
