Our highly trained, professional staff deliver quality care in a warm and pleasant environment. The following information is provided to acquaint you with our office. Please do not hesitate to ask any specific questions you may have.
Our Emphasis is on Prevention
Orthodontists are dental specialists with advanced training in correcting bite and jaw problems in children and adults. Your child's first visit to the orthodontist should take place no later than age seven. An early exam assures maximum dental health for your child.
Prevention of bad bites and abnormal jaw development is less costly, and results in a more esthetic and stable final result. Early orthodontic treatment can also help minimize the need for more extensive treatment at a later date, such as extraction of permanent teeth. Our goal is to provide you with a good functional bite and a beautiful smile.
Your First Visit
At the first visit, we will examine your mouth for problems and give you an explanation of the situation. While the first exam does not always result in immediate treatment, it allows the orthodontist to determine how and when your particular problem should best be treated.
A more thorough evaluation of your existing orthodontic problems may require orthodontic records, such as study models of your teeth, x-rays, and photographs. These records will assist us in your diagnostic work-up to determine your course of treatment, length of treatment, and treatment fee. This will be discussed with you at the conference appointment following your diagnostic work-up.
Protecting Your Health
For your protection we follow the recommended infection control and sterilization guidelines established by the American Dental Association. The risk of contracting infectious diseases through dental treatment remains extremely remote when these guidelines are observed.
Payment and Fees
Payment for services is requested at the time of your visit. For your convenience we do accept cash, checks, MasterCard, and Visa for payment. If this is not possible, our office manager will make some form of financial arrangement that is flexible and mutually agreeable.
For comprehensive treatment, an interest free payment plan is offered for the period of treatment. Since orthodontic fees vary depending on the type of problem, the doctor will explain the extent of treatment and the total treatment fee at your conference appointment.
Emergency Care
Although orthodontic emergencies do not frequently arise, we will promptly arrange to see you as soon as possible to take care of any trouble you may be experiencing.
